They also enhance your home’s heating and cooling efforts, taking pressure off your furnace and air conditioning units. You can even have one installed outside on your deck or patio to enjoy their cooling effects.

All you need to do is flip a switch. In the summer, when you want your room to be cooler make sure your ceiling fan blades are moving in a counterclockwise direction. In the winter, when you want your room to be warmer, flip the switch to have the blades move in the opposite direction (clockwise).
