Are you experiencing the frustration of plumbing fixtures that don’t drain as they should?
Slow drains can be an insidious problem, gradually worsening as debris builds up in your pipes.
If left unchecked, your drains may eventually stop functioning altogether.
Common culprits of slow drains include food, grease, hair, and soap scum, which can accumulate over time and cause backups.
Having plumbing fixtures that do not drain properly can be very frustrating. It can sneak up on you. As debris builds up in the pipes, the fixtures begin to drain slower and slower. Eventually, if left untreated, the drains will no longer function.
Depending on which fixture is draining slowly, various things might be starting to plug the drain. Food, grease, hair, and soap scum can accumulate in drains, causing slow drains and eventually backups.
Slow drains can be prevented through the use of non-corrosive drain cleaners like Bio One. Bio One is a live bacteria drain cleaner that is safe to use in all applications. The live bacteria cut away any organic material in pipes and clean the drain. The bacteria remain in the pipe and continue to work until the pipe is clean. Two ounces per month are recommended to maintain a drain that is free of buildup.
For a slow-draining fixture, Bio One is also recommended. Two ounces every night for five straight nights should make a considerable difference in the speed that your fixture drains. If you wait until the drain is blocked, however, auguring the drain will be your only option.
