Founder and CEO Brham Trim believed it didn’t have to be that way.

In 2002, he set out to build a company that would completely redefine what homeowners could expect from a service visit.

Built From a Family Trade

Brham grew up in a plumbing family as the fifth of eight children. His father was a plumber, and his grandfather before him. From an early age he learned the value of hard work and problem-solving.

Weekends and holidays often meant working instead of relaxing, and those early experiences shaped the work ethic that would later define the company.

Ironically, despite growing up around plumbing, Brham originally had no intention of entering the trade. Like many people, he was aware of the negative stereotypes that surrounded the industry.

But at 22 years old, driven by an entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to challenge those perceptions, he made a bold decision: he challenged the journeyman plumbing exam and started a business with one truck and a phone in hand.

His goal was simple: prove that the trades could be professional, trustworthy, and respected.

Changing the Reputation of the Trades

From the beginning, The Gentlemen Pros did things differently.

Technicians arrived in professional uniforms with a signature tie, setting a new tone for the service experience. Cleanliness, courtesy, and clear communication became non-negotiable standards.

Customers received clear pricing before the job begins, and technicians were encouraged to spend time educating homeowners rather than rushing to the next call.

The result was a service experience that felt dramatically different from what many homeowners were used to.

A Defining Moment

Five years into building the business, disaster struck.

In the middle of the night, Brham received a call that his company warehouse was on fire. By the time he arrived, most of the building was engulfed in flames.

For many businesses, this would have meant the end. Instead, it became a turning point.

Family, employees, and friends rallied together, building a temporary call center in his parents’ living room so the company could continue scheduling service calls and serving customers.

That experience reshaped the company’s leadership philosophy. Brham realized that success doesn’t come from doing everything yourself — it comes from building a strong team and trusting others to help carry the vision forward.

That lesson helped unlock the growth that followed.
